Channels

The integration of channels is one of the main functions of Lynn as an integration framework, conceptually all resources transacting messaging that are connected to Lynn are established as communication channels, however, data ingestion channels oriented to interactions are usually the protagonists and have their own space in the Lynn designer and in that sense we can recognize those oriented to chat transactions and social networks.

It is critical to bear in mind that if a channel with the same configuration is incorporated in both the testing and production environments, it can result in a serious conflict. For example, if the same WhatsApp number is used in both environments.

The channels available for integration in Lynn at this time are the following:

Web Chat

This channel is enabled by default for each Lynn application in a production environment, for the development environment use the Sandbox of channels to perform your tests. It is recognized as a widget (WG) tool that can be embedded or called through an HTML script on a destination web page, its main function is to provide a configurable chat interface with media data capabilities, which serves as an input for the web page segment.

One of the main advantages offered by Lynn and its widget is that it contemplates a tool for personalization and design of the widget’s interface and visual behavior. With it, personalized themes can be enabled and switched between freely available themes through the widget personalization interface, additionally this tool allows the inclusion of access forms, definition of key input variables, customization of CSS styles and many other features.

Facebook

Facebook (FB) is a social network channel divided according to its integration into Comments and Direct Messages (FB Messenger), the integration of this channel is done through the incorporation of key parameters from an application that enables this social network. Once the access parameters to the application in Lynn are configured, it will be able to transact messaging and media with the social network always in accordance with the limitations established by the same and the agreements/terms and conditions of use of the platform.

Approval process

The approval process for applications on the Facebook platform may take up to two weeks depending on the analysis and times offered by the social network. In this approval the social network will make sure to validate that the application meets the requirements of the platform to operate and guarantee a correct operation.

Instagram

Instagram (IG) is a social network channel that is currently available for exclusive comment integrations and is integrated with the Facebook application management platform (Developer Facebook), integration with this channel also depends on the incorporation of parameters obtained from the FB application for its subsequent configuration in the Lynn channel integration tool. Once the access parameters to the application in Lynn are configured, it will be in the capacity to transact messaging and media with the social network always in accordance with the limitations established by it and the agreements/terms and conditions of use of the platform.

Twitter

Warning ❗: Currently, the social media platform Twitter has restricted access to its APIs to three types: Free, Basic, and Enterprise. The Twitter (TW) social network channel is subdivided according to its integration in Direct Messages and mentions, the integration with this channel depends on the incorporation of parameters obtained from the application and implementation environment of Twitter Developer for its subsequent configuration of these in the Lynn channel integration tool. Once the access parameters to the application in Lynn are configured, it will be in the capacity to transact messaging and media with the social network always in accordance with the limitations established by the same and the agreements / terms and conditions of use of the platform.

Whatsapp

WhatsApp channel is a chat-oriented social network messaging channel. The integration process of this channel usually depends on an external integration provider or an implementation of FB WA Business. The availability of integration providers may vary depending on the status and version of Lynn and the terms and conditions of use of such providers should always be taken into account to determine the capabilities of the integrator in terms of data and media management. Once the access parameters of the Whatsapp number of the provider have been configured, Lynn will be able to transact messaging and media with the social network always in accordance with the limitations established by it and the agreements / terms and conditions of use of the platform.

Application approval process

The Facebook application approval process can take up to two weeks depending on the analysis and times offered by the social network. In this approval, the social network will ensure that the application meets the platform requirements to operate and guarantee correct operation. It should be noted that this process must link the number associated with the social network to the application management model in the social network, which necessarily implies having access to the administration of the cell phone or device associated with it.

Message limit declared by META

Message limits determine the maximum number of conversations initiated by the company that you can start with each of your phone numbers in a renewable period of 24 hours. A conversation initiated by the company begins when the first template message is delivered to a customer and ends 24 hours later.

This limit increases automatically based on the status of the phone number, the quality rating of the phone number, and how often the company initiates conversations with unique customers.

Configuration process with WhatsApp providers

Teams

The Teams social network channel is oriented to chat messaging, Lynn integrates this channel as a bot application directly with Microsoft, consequently, the request management and channel activation is automatically managed by Lynn through its channel management interface. It will be enough to activate the channel and Lynn will be able to transact messaging and media with the social network always in accordance with the limitations established by it and the agreements/terms and conditions of use of the platform.

Telegram

It is a social network channel similar in purpose to WA, its more advanced integration system allows the incorporation of a bot on the Telegram (TEL) BotFather platform, once the configuration is established with said application, Lynn will be in the capacity to transact messaging and media with the social network always according to the limitations established by the same and the agreements/terms and conditions of use of the destination platform.

eMail

Lynn has the ability to integrate email channels, this through an SMTP messaging server (on demand) or a subscription service through a specific provider with integration capabilities such as Gsuite's Gmail, the integrations with Gmail are optimized to work with the "Kyubo" conversational engine for sending enriched texts.

Google Business

It is a rich and asynchronous messaging service that allows users to interact with brands from various entry points such as Google Search, Maps, Ads, and the brand's own channels. Lynn can integrate with Google Business through Business Messages. Check HERE for more configuration details.

Others

Lynn has the ability to integrate other rarely used channels in data ingestion, in addition to the possibility of integrating new channels and connection providers.

Extended channels are: Kik, Slack, Alexa, Workplace Facebook, Line.
